101 things to do with crèpes - part one (nutella crèpe)

back when i went to school in saint paul, i had lunch at this crèpe truck twice, and both times i got the nutella crèpe. it was like a ballerina pancake with delicious chocolate that just tasted like i've been crowned grand duchess five times. ...yeah. so imagine my delight when my mom graciously gifted me with ten (you read it right - the big 1-oh) pre-made crèpes. btw, you actually pronounce them crep, not crape or anything.
anyways. after several attempts, i made this yummy nutella crèpe that doesn't taste like the Sahara Desert.
on this page - a fabulous nutella crèpe recipe that a) isn't dry and b) is pretty quick and easy and c) contains stuff you already have (besides maybe the crèpes).

nutella crèpe
serves one

ingredients

  • nutella, 4-6 knife-fulls
  • 2 tbsp. milk; additional for thinning
  • 1 pre-made crèpe
  • whipped cream, powdered sugar, and hershey's sauce, optional, for decorating
directions
  1. in a microwave-safe bowl, combine nutella and milk. this should look something akin to extra-chocolatey chocolate milk, and that's good. keep stirring until thoroughly combined.
  2. microwave the chocolate milk mixture on high for 20 seconds. it should look like some's burned off, but that's okay. stir and set aside.
  3. place crèpe on a microwave-safe plate and heat for five seconds on high. flip it.
  4. add about 2-2.5 tablespoons of nutella sauce to the crèpe and spread with a knife. fold it into fourths, and microwave on high for five more seconds.
  5. if using decorating things, add them on now.
  6. serve immediately. bon appetit!
